Western Plains Public Health
The Western Plains Public Health Board is responsible for reviewing activity reports, setting policy for public health programs within the five county areas of Morton, Mercer, Oliver, Grant, and Sioux Counties. They review the annual budget and expenditures, and approve a budget to be submitted to the county commissions for approval. They hire and review the Administrator of the health district. The Board meets quarterly.
Any qualified elector residing in Morton County is eligible for the appointment. The appointment is for a 5-year term expiring 12/31/2030. Deadline for applications is December 22, 2025.
