### What You'll Do:
As a Bookkeeper/Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing accounts payable (AP) while also receiving cross-training in accounts receivable (AR). Your main responsibilities will include:

✔️ Processing purchase orders and matching vendor invoices
✔️ Scanning and inputting invoices into our accounting software
✔️ Running and monitoring AP Aging Reports to ensure timely payments
✔️ Reconciling vendor statements and closing AP periods
✔️ Maintaining organized digital records of vendor invoices
✔️ Preparing reports and assisting with special projects as needed
✔️ Managing a busy email inbox and responding promptly to inquiries

### What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Experience: 3-5 years in bookkeeping, finance, or a related field
Education: Associate's degree (AS) or higher in Accounting or Bookkeeping
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks, Sage MAS 90, or Sage 100 is a plus)
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume inbox
Attention to Detail: Accuracy and organization are key in this role
Location: Candidates must have a short commute to our office in Jersey City, NJ
Assessment: Candidates will complete a brief skills test in accounting, Excel, and general computer proficiency as part of the hiring process
