Job Description: Truck Driver CDL

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Driver with a CDL qualification to join our construction team. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for operating various heavy-duty trucks to transport and deliver construction materials, equipment, and tools to construction sites. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks, primarily dump trucks, to transport construction materials, equipment, and tools to and from construction sites.

2. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle.

3. Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools onto and off the truck, ensuring that they are securely strapped and properly distributed for safe transport.

4. Inspect vehicles before and after every trip, including checking tires, brakes, fuel, oil, and water levels. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.

5. Maintain accurate records of mileage, hours of operation, fuel consumption, and other relevant information in the vehicle logbook.

6. Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction materials to construction sites.

7. Assist in the loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment at the construction site, collaborating with site supervisors or construction team members as needed.

8. Communicate effectively with supervisors, construction site personnel, and other drivers to ensure smooth coordination and completion of all transportation activities.

9. Follow and comply with all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others at the construction site.

10. Assist in performing routine maintenance on the truck, such as cleaning, refueling, and checking fluid levels, to ensure proper functioning and longevity of the vehicle.

Requirements:

1. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with proper endorsements for operating heavy-duty trucks.

2. Experienced Truck Driver is a plus, preferably in construction or a related field.

3. Clean driving record with no major infractions or accidents.

4. Knowledge of traffic rules, regulations, and safe driving practices.

5. Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks safely in various weather and road conditions.

6. Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks on the truck.

7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, construction site personnel, and other drivers.

8. Physical stamina and strength to load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools.

9. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, to meet project deadlines.

10. Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

11. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and materials.
