Engelberth Construction is seeking a Civil Estimator who provides expertise and support to the preconstruction and operation teams related to civil and site infrastructure work.

The team member is responsible for:

· Developing estimates at all phases of design.

· Coordinating the subcontractor bidding process for CM and hard bid projects.

· Maintaining the civil estimating database.

· Providing internal coordination with other team members related to civil and site related work (cost, scheduling, design issues, bidding strategies, and other risk management efforts).

· Supporting operations teams with site related issues and business development efforts by assisting with RFP responses.

· Performing civil and site related material takeoffs.

· Coordinating with equipment and material vendors for current pricing.

· Developing cost estimates using Timberline/Sage estimating software.

· Understanding the subcontractor market conditions and developing subcontractor bid lists.

· Developing subcontractor bid packages directing specific trade work scopes.

· Reviewing subcontractor bids and proposals for conformance to requested information.

· Discussing estimates and subcontractor bidding results with Owners and Design team members.

· Providing constructability reviews and quality control feedback to designers.

· Developing cost reduction strategies and evaluating value engineering suggestions for cost and schedule impact.

The candidate for this position should have the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of design experience or equal years of civil and site related subcontractor estimating experience.
• Proficiency in MicroSoft Office products.
• Have proficiency in (or the desire to learn) digital take-off and estimating software.
• Commercial Construction Experience a plus.
