Cloud Network Test Engineer
This is a contract position.
This is an onsite opportunity located in Alpharetta, GA.

About this position
Are you a cloud networking expert passionate about IPv6 innovation and testing? This role puts you at the center of multi-cloud transformation, supporting a global enterprise in validating and certifying IPv6 and dual-stack network readiness across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. You’ll design automated test strategies, troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges, and collaborate with top-tier engineers to ensure the highest standards of performance, security, and compliance in a lab and production environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans to validate IPv6/dual-stack performance across AWS, Azure, and GCP

• Build and manage lab test environments, automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)

• Test and certify DMZ designs, network hardware/software, and cloud-native configurations

• Support operations by troubleshooting issues, documenting findings, and presenting risk impact assessments

• Partner with infrastructure, security, and network architecture teams to pilot and implement approved solutions

Job Skills/Requirements

• 8+ years of LAN/WAN network design, routing, switching, and testing

• 3+ years of IPv6 validation experience across hybrid/multi-cloud environments

• Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DMVPN, IPSEC, VXLAN, and network security protocols

• Hands-on with Cisco IOS-XE/XR/NXOS, Catalyst/Nexus, Arista platforms

• Skilled in cloud networking tools (AWS Transit Gateway, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Cloud Routers)

• Familiar with automation/testing tools: Ixia, Spirent, iperf, Wireshark, ROBOT framework

• Experience with Kubernetes, and IPv6-enabled CNI plugins (Calico, Cilium) a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to interface with senior leadership

Pay Range:
$62 - $67/hr
