  • 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • Strong experience with Python and SQL
  • Experience building and maintaining APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
  • Knowledge of AWS technologies like DynamoDB , Lambda , and Elastic Beanstalk
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Experience with Airflow and DBT
  • Exposure to streaming data pipelines and/or machine learning workflows
  • Comfort working with JavaScript and React

Your First Year at Vivian

  • Have spun up our environments locally
  • Have built a new data API resource, complete with unit testing and monitoring
  • Have build a new dbt model

Within three months, you'll

  • Own a new core function in our admin tool, including the data model, pipeline, and API
  • Have built out robust testing and monitoring for our data infrastructure
  • Help to steer the architecture decisions and direction of the data engineering team

Within six months, you'll

  • Contribute to tech stack decision-making around streaming data
  • Have replaced one of our existing batch data pipelines with a streaming pipeline

Within a year, you'll

  • Power near real time data to predictive models that provide a personalized experience for our users
  • Have built a data platform to make ingesting new data sources and spinning up new API services a breeze
