This is an over the road non-CDL role ; you will drive a 26' box truck and together with a helper will embark on 1-2 week shuttle routes involving both pickups and delivery. You should expect to be on the road four weeks out of the month ; you will be home for weekends about ~half the time.

What you'll be doing

As delivery driver you're responsible for delivering and setting up furniture inside customer's homes:

• We deliver couches, beds, desks, and other large bulky items. Safely unload items from the truck, bring them to the customer's residence, and set up the item.
• Products will need to be unboxed or unwrapped and taken to the customer's room of choice. You should have an outstanding mechanical aptitude, an ability to follow assembly instructions, and experience with basic hand tools like screw drivers and cordless drills.
• You think assembling a bed is a breeze.
• You are a master of padding & wrapping, and find the sight of exposed wood or upholstery on your truck to be personally offensive.
• Drive a 26' box truck.
• Provide great customer service and pleasant interactions at every opportunity.
• Ensure proper forms are filled out and signatures are collected.
• Safely drive a 26' box truck, keep customers apprised of arrival times, and manage your helper.
• You will also help out in our warehouse as needed.

What we're looking for

• Motivated, independent self starter - this isn't a warehouse or office, you're out on the road and we trust you to get your work done.
• Analytical thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset
• Skilled in packing, loading, and unloading Antique furniture
• Assembly and installation are required parts of this job.
• Punctual
• Responsible
• Honest
• Lift at least 125 lbs
• Clean MVR
• Provide outstanding service that exceeds customer expectations

Benefits

You will go through a one week training program with an existing delivery lead before being given your own truck and route.

Blue Truck Logistics offers medical coverage starting your second month of employment, regular holidays, and 10-15 days of paid vacation per year. We pay weekly. We are looking for hard working self-starters who want to grow with the company. The delivery lead position pays $175-$200 per day with an additional per diem ($59/day) for out of town trips .
