Golf Pro Shop Assistant
Golf course in Palm Springs, California is looking for a Golf Pro Shop Assistant.
Position Overview:
Assist the professional staff with all facets of the golf operation including tournament operations, tee time management, men’s and ladies’ days, clinics and individual lessons, all while providing the highest level of service to our members and their guests. The successful candidate must be a team player that is organized, creative, detail-oriented and energetic with excellent communication and time management skills and a strong work ethic. The commitment for this position is from November 2021 to May 2022. A year round could be available for the right candidate.
Essential Responsibilities:
• PGA Member or Level 1 Apprentice in good standing.
• Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated with a service focused attitude.
• Assist with all tournament operations and all men’s and ladies’ weekly events and programs including the creation and coordination of promotional items, registration forms, scorecards, rules sheets, scoreboards, scoring, results sheets, score and credit book posting, post-tournament billing and year-end awards.
• Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments as appropriate.
• Assist Merchandise Manager with merchandising and inventory control.
• Assist with the daily opening and closing of Golf Operations.
• Assist professional staff with instruction programs and clinics and provide individual lessons as time permits.
• Perform minor club repair and grip installation.
• Perform other appropriate tasks as needed to ensure the highest quality golf experience.
Requirements:
PGA members or apprentices working to attain their professional status.
Private club experience is preferred.
Individual must be a team player with the energy, passion and drive to provide the highest quality golf experience to our members and their guests.
College degree/ PGM Student a plus.
Compensation:
$24.00 – $27.00 per hour.
