Thomas Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work both in our shop and out in the field, maintaining and repairing a wide range of essential construction equipment. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine inspections Troubleshoot field equipment and complete emergency repairs on job sites Maintain detailed service logs, repair reports, and parts usage documentation Collaborate with shop managers and field supervisors to prioritize equipment needs Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace in both the shop and field environments Preferred Equipment Experience Caterpillar John Deere Komatsu Daewoo Volvo Sany Other major heavy equipment brands Qualifications ~2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (preferred) ~ High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) ~ Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repair skills ~ Basic welding experience a plus ~ Valid driver's license (required) ~ Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions ~ Strong attention to safety and detail Benefits Hourly Pay: $25.00 - $35.00, depending on experience Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Holidays) Weekly Pay Cycle Opportunities for Overtime Company-Provided Training and Safety Certifications Schedule Monday to Friday, 8-10 hour shifts Occasional weekend work and field calls may be required Location In-person at our Houston, TX facility Field assignments and site-based service calls as needed Equal Employment Opportunity S.
