Job Description

The Maintenance & Repair Technician will be responsible for maintenance and repairs for their assigned locations. They will be required to maintain the equipment and facility of their locations through daily repair and maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fitness equipment maintenance and repair
  • Diagnose, service and repair various types of gym equipment
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance checks to ensure equipment is safe and operational
  • Facility maintenance and light repairs
  • Conduct minor building maintenance
  • Drywall repair, painting, basic plumbing fixes, light electrical work and other similar duties will be assigned
  • Perform flooring repairs such as replacing tiles or fixing damaged rubber flooring
  • Coordinate with property managers and vendors when larger building issues arise
  • Communicate regularly with lead repair technician
  • Effective management and communication on outstanding items
  • Travel between assigned locations and sometimes outside normal service area as needed

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 1+ years experience in general maintenance
  • Ability to problem solve independently
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, vendors, property manager and leadership
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Valid Drivers License
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Bend, stoop, knell, crouch, crawl, climb, twist, reach, grasp and repetitive hand movements on a daily basis
  • Ability to lift, carry, push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • May occasionally encounter cleaning chemicals during shift.
