Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Intern for Summer \(2026\) in Mechanical Engineering\. In this role, you will support the Rapid Solutions team\. Must be a US Citizen\. **Basic Qualifications:** \- Pursing a Bachelors \(3rd year or above\) or Masters degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science Engineering\. \- Experience in designing and carrying out experiments \(e\.g\. undergraduate/graduate research, lab coursework\)\. \- Hands on experience in one or more of the following: Prototyping, Troubleshooting, Rework/Repair, Fabricating, or Diagnostics \- Interest in electronics packaging design and manufacturing **Desired Skills:** \- Machine design and drafting experience\. \- 3D Computer\-Aided\-Design \(CAD\) experience in Solidworks\. \- Engineering analysis \(Thermal and/or Structural\) \- Hands\-on manufacturing experience \(e\.g\. machining, composite layup, etc\)\. \- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills\. \- Strong problem\-solving skills\. \- Good interpersonal skills including a passionate and can\-do attitude\. **Clearance Level:** None **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\. **Schedule for this Position:** Part\-Time as assigned by leader **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $31,616 \- $77,788\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
