Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Shift: 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM (Monday–Friday)

Contract Duration: 6+ weeks with possible extension

Job Description

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support within a healthcare clinic setting. This role requires proficiency in both front-office and back-office operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality patient care. The CMA will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, scheduling, communication, and general support for daily clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, ensuring efficient patient flow.

  • Perform clinical duties including vitals, phlebotomy/venipuncture, EKGs, administering vaccines, and POC testing.

  • Provide front-office support including scheduling, answering phone calls, and assisting with patient inquiries.

  • Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Support providers with exams, procedures, and treatment room preparation.

  • Maintain a collaborative and professional working relationship with clinical and administrative staff.

  • Follow proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Provide patient education as directed by the provider.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (externship not included).

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred .

  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred .

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR usage required.

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and solid computer skills.

  • Passion for patient education, outreach, and high-quality care.
