**Medical Coder** **Job summary** We are seeking a dedicated Medical Coder with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in MS Excel and will work from home during day shifts. This role involves managing and analyzing data to support our business processes and improve efficiency. **Responsibilities** + Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and patterns. + Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decisions. + Develop and maintain detailed reports and dashboards using MS Excel. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. + Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data audits and validations. + Implement data management best practices to optimize data handling and storage. + Train and support team members on data analysis techniques and tools. + Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. + Assist in the development of data policies and procedures. + Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. + Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analysis and BPO industry. + Contribute to the overall success of the company by leveraging data to drive business growth. **Qualifications** + AAPC Certification + At least 2 years of experience in the medical field, either through work or volunteer roles. + FACETS experience is a plus + Experience with medical coding guidelines and procedures such as ICD-9, CPT, ARG and ASA, among several others. + Experience in Encoder Pro is a plus + Experience in other clinical services search program management and health records is an added advantage. + Strong understanding of Claims, Appeals and Medical Benefits + Proficiency in computer skills including typing speed and accuracy + Good written and verbal communication skills + Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information + Knowledge of CPT data entry and transcription Applications will be accepted until Wednesday April 28th, 2025 The hourly salary for this position is between $26.00 - $30.00 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
