The Medical Secretary is responsible for typing Medical/Surgical and Autopsy reports from the Pathology Department and for preparing, organizing, and typing other department reports as required. This position reports to the Lab Section Supervisor and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required One (1) to three (3) years secretarial experience in a health care environment required Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required Post high school course/program in medical transcription or terminology or related work experience required Demonstrated high speed, accurate typing and data entry skills and demonstrated organizational and telephone skills required
