Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

A Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in the Medical-Surgical Unit in Panama City, FL.

Numerous charters offer inshore and offshore fishing, scuba, and snorkeling excursions. Guided day trips are available for dolphin-watching and shelling on uninhabited islands. Fresh, locally caught seafood is featured at many of the restaurants, while some offer live music and waterfront views.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Range: $27.72 – $39.60 (15+ years depending on experience)
• If you have CNA, LPN, Surg Tech, or Paramedic experience, it will count toward your RN experience
• Days (Rotating Weekends)

• Shift Differential: $4.00 (Nights)
• Sign-on Bonus: $15,000 paid over 2 years

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor, assess, and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, medications, and post-discharge care
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system

Requirements

• Current FL RN License or compact licensure (must obtain FL license within 90 days if using compact)
• Current BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ASN required; BSN preferred)
• 1 year of acute care Med Surg experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, bending, and patient movement
