As a Mortgage Loan Officer , you will be the trusted advisor helping clients achieve one of life’s biggest milestones—owning or refinancing a home. You will educate borrowers on mortgage options, guide them through pre-qualification, and ensure loans close smoothly and on time. By combining financial expertise with strong communication, the Mortgage Loan Officer builds client confidence, accelerates the lending process, and drives successful outcomes that directly impact families and communities.
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76109 | Hybrid (Onsite Tues–Thurs, Remote Mon & Fri)
Compensation & Schedule
• $22–$25/hr
• Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
• 3-month contract
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Respond to mortgage referrals and conduct borrower consultations via phone or video.
• Advise clients on VA and Conventional loan products, explaining financing terms clearly.
• Perform pre-qualifications, generate pricing quotes, and run AUS (Automated Underwriting Systems).
• Analyze credit reports, calculate DTI (debt-to-income) and LTV (loan-to-value) ratios.
• Input borrower data into loan origination systems and collect necessary documentation.
• Order appraisals, title work, and insurance; coordinate with internal teams throughout processing.
• Provide proactive borrower updates and support refinancing opportunities.
• Complete monthly and quarterly reporting as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ year of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Consultant, or similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with VA or Conventional mortgage loan types.
• Strong consultative communication skills with proven client trust-building ability.
