Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care in the operating room setting.
- Preparing the operating room and ensuring sterility.
- Assisting surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and administering medications as ordered.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintaining a safe and organized operating room environment.
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Minimum of two years of experience as an RN in a hospital setting.
- Experience in at least one of the following surgical specialties: orthopedics, neurology, robotics, thoracic, or vascular surgery.
- Proficiency in clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience with Epic charting system.
