Optical Manager Needed

Our ever-growing eye care practice needs a dedicated and professional individual to help us run our operations and lead our team. This full-time position offers the stability of a career in healthcare with the ability to give back to our community in a meaningful way. You will be responsible for making sure the train always runs on time. Your tasks will vary every day, meaning this job always has something new to challenge you!

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Keeping up the morale of the team – Celebrating successes, remembering birthdays and finding other ways to keep the team motivated.
• Implementing training, managing the professional development of the team and coaching staff as necessary
• Overseeing payroll
• Making sure the patient experience is terrific every day
• Deescalating patient concerns,  addressing and correcting patient problems and errors 
• Executing the vision of the Doctor and management team on how the practice should run
• Systems management and support
• Accurately chart insurance and patient information, billing insurance,  explaining to patients what their insurance or savings plan cover.
• Protecting the practice – Scheduling the team well to minimize overtime hours, making sure the team is happy and giving great customer service so our reputation stays excellent
• Managing communications throughout the office

Experience Needed:

Our ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of management experience; also prior optician, eyecare, or medical office experience may be useful. We are happy to train the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning to the Vision Source of Oviedo Exceptional Standard of Care!
