Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in accordance with approval processes.
Maintain an accurate record of PO’s, invoices, test certificates, bills of lading, and any other relevant information/documents pertaining to inbound deliveries
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery, escalating issues as necessary.
Liaise with warehouse teams to manage the receipting of inbound deliveries.
Address and resolve invoice vs. PO discrepancies in a timely manner.
Generate, maintain, and distribute backorder reports to corresponding suppliers.
Monitor products on backorder and follow up on outstanding items.
Provide regular reports to Internal Partners on supplier delivery status and key procurement metrics.
Identify trends or issues in backorder patterns and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure purchasing and shipping records are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
Continuously evaluate Supplier delivery times processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
Ad-hoc tasks as required
Proven experience in purchasing, logistics and/or supply chain
Familiarity with shipping processes and related documentation
Knowledge of purchase order systems and supplier management
Strong proficiency in excel and exposure to ERP systems
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners, customer focused
Proactive, team player, knows own strengths, and out of the box thinker
