What You'll Do:

In this role, QA Engineer II will be involved in manual testing of Mobile apps involving IOT devices integrated with security applications, will be responsible for developing/executing test cases and documenting testing deliverables under direct supervision, will be working with the Mobile testing teams, and will be helping to shape the direction of next generation features and products for home security by ensuring the applications are effectively working through their testing efforts. These resources will be expected to write test suites for manual mobile development and smart home IoT automation products and should be flexible and have the ability to adapt and learn new things.

• Must have 4+ years of experience with Manual Testing on Web Applications including cross browser testing experience.
• Mobile testing experience - both iOS and Android with manual and automation tools.
• Prior experience in ADT-like security or smart home automation systems testing; testing applications for devices (security systems, cameras, mobile devices, tablets, etc.)
• Hardware understanding will be key.
• Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) is a must have.
• Good communication skills.
• Performs requirement analysis to translate both business documentation and architectural documents to complex test cases.
• Create test cases and requirement traceability.
• Defect reporting.
• Ability to troubleshoot the real-time mobile issues for identification and reproduction (supporting and augmenting tests cases)
• Should be able to pull and perform log analysis for root cause analysis.
• Work independently with minimal guidance.
• Must have great personality, ability to have fun and interact well with team in a collaborative agile environment; culture fit very important.
• Strong teamwork aptitude, willingness to learn and grow skills.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years engineering experience or demonstrated technical proficiency.
• Experience with test and Defect Management tools: JIRA & ALM.
• Experience with logging tools: Dynatrace.
• Experience with Bitbucket for source Control, exposure to Jenkins to enable CI/CD is plus.
