Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Dietitian for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY.
Key ResponsibilitiesScreen and assess patients accurately and in a timely manner to determine nutritional status and needs.
Conduct patient and family interviews to gather dietary history, food habits, and preferences.
Provide patient education on nutrition, including food/drug interactions, and document in the medical record.
Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care.
Record diet instructions and confirm patient understanding in the education section.
Collaborate with physicians to recommend appropriate diet modifications.
Modify patient menus as necessary to meet medical or personal needs.
Monitor patients’ progress and provide follow-up nutrition care.
Education: Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods & Nutrition. Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Acute Care: Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian.
Post-Acute Care (Long-Term Care): New York State Certification from NYSED as a “Dietitian-Nutritionist” (required at time of hire).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required; 2+ years preferred.
Verification: Primary Source Verification required.
Other: AHA BLS preferred.
