Job Summary:
We are currently seeking outstanding Registered Nurses to join our team at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. As a contracted Nurse, you will be providing healthcare services at Tripler Army Medical Center, Warrior Ohana Medical Home, or Desmond Doss Health Clinic, as assigned. This is a mission essential role, supporting the care of Military Members, their Families, and Retired Military Veterans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients under the supervision of physicians
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to healthcare providers
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and their families on prevention, treatment, and self-care measures
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care
- Comply with all applicable regulations and policies
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Valid certification for Full Education Course-by-Course Report by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Schools (for international nurse graduates)
- Board eligibility or certification as per the specific position description
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a nurse in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (varies per department)
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Additional Life Support Certifications and position-specific Clinical Certifications may be required (to be discussed during the interview process)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check/security clearance
Scheduling and Staffing:
The scheduling and staffing details will be specifically addressed during the interview process, based on the needs of each Clinical Department requesting nursing services.
