We are looking for an RN Education Specialist who is motivated energetic and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge and helping current and new nursing staff excel in their career while supporting Country Manors mission of providing superior care and services.

As an RN Education Specialist youll work alongside our Director of Nursing and other core members of our nursing team to recruit lead mentor and educate staff. This is a highly influential role in which youll get to make a direct impact on our nursing team at all levels. Your focus will be on providing high-quality and engaging educational opportunities to maximize the development of our nursing professionals and ensure we remain in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities as an RN Education Specialist:

  1. Recruit interview for and fill all seats for our CNA classes
  2. Plan and teach the 75-hour classroom course as approved by the State of MN for all new nurse aides
  3. Conduct nursing orientation sessions for all new nurses (LPN & RN)
  4. Provide Dementia training
  5. Mentor new students/nursing staff and monitor their transition into Country Manor
  6. Act as a resource and role model for all staff in resident care
  7. Provide counseling/education/training to nursing staff
  8. Assist with conducting continuing education programs/skills fairs
  9. Complete facility audits and follow-up education as needed
  10. Coach Team Leaders ongoing and conduct monthly meetings
  11. Assist in supervision of nursing department personnel


Candidate must possess a current MN RN license and be a certified instructor of the MN NA/R program or be willing to obtain certification. (Online course available and paid by Country Manor with two year commitment for those who do not currently have their certification.)

This is a part-time (potential for full-time) benefit-eligible position working approximately 64 hours/pp. The schedule varies depending on the current class schedule being offered but is primarily day hours.
