Job Title: Physics and Biology Teacher Location: Chesterton Academy of Albuquerque - Albuquerque, NM Position Type: Full-Time (2025-2026 Academic Year) Application Deadline: Open until filled Position Summary Chesterton Academy of Albuquerque is seeking a Physics and Biology Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will possess a love for both science and the Catholic faith, and will be enthusiastic about engaging students in the exploration of the natural world through a classical lens. This role includes teaching both upper-level physics and biology to high school students, with a commitment to academic excellence and spiritual formation. Responsibilities

• Teach high school physics and biology in alignment with the school's classical curriculum and Catholic worldview
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and joy in discovery
• Integrate faith and reason in the teaching of science, emphasizing the wonder and order of God's creation
• Prepare and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and labs
• Assess student learning through varied and meaningful assignments
• Participate in faculty formation, school Masses, and community events
• Collaborate with faculty to uphold the mission and culture of the school

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Biology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• Teaching experience at the high school level preferred
• Practicing Catholic, joyfully faithful to the Magisterium of the Church
• Passion for classical education and liberal arts philosophy
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Willingness to be involved in the life of the school beyond the classroom
