Senior  Category Manager

Location:   Irvine, CA                                                               Job Type: FTE, Hybrid( 3 days )

Salary Range: $120k-$160k

The Senior   Category   Manager   will   manage   the   given   categories for   exis ting   products   or   new   products.   Reporting   to   Senior   VP   of   Global   Sourcing,the   positio n   will   play   an   essential   role   in   executing   the  company's global growth strategy. Responsibilities
●   Develop   category   strategy; articulate   roadblocks   and   execute   tactic s   to   drive   category   growth.
● Analyze category performance data; identify issues and complete correction plans.
●   Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and establish initia l relationships,including   both US   domestic   and   overseas   suppliers.
●   Manage communication with   suppliers   on   RFQ, contract negotiation, performance   compliance,   and   improvement   opportunities .
● Collaborating   with   global   teams  and  resource s   to   move   forward   sourcing   projects   in   the   growth   pipeline.
●   Research   and   monitor   industry   trends   that   impa ct   the   business.
●   Participate   and   provide   su pport   in   special   growth   projects   identified   by   company   leadership.
●   Coaching   junior   team  members.
●   This  position  has   tremendous  gro wth  potential   for   the  right  individual.

Requirements
●  10+ years   of   professional   experience,with   at   least  5   years  in   the   automotive   aftermarket.
·     Strong  analytical  skills.
● Proven experience on the  development  of   a   fact-based, number   driven   growth strategy
● Demonstrated knowledge  of  the US   aftermarket   d istribution   landscape.
Prior experience   in   leading   chain   stores   is   highly   desired.
●   Knowledge   of   import   and   export   t rade   is   a   big   plus.
●   Deep   knowledge   of   vehicle   repairs.Preferences   will   be   g iven   to   those   who   work   on   their   own   cars.
●   Computer   fluency   in   Microsoft   Office   Suites.Expert   level   fluency   in   Excel.
●   Solid   communication   skills.Must   be   able   to   write   eff ectively   on   complex   business   matters.
●   Bachelor's  degree  required;Graduate  degree pre ferred.
●   Prior  management  experience prefe rred.
●   Unrestricted  US  work  authorization required.
