Collaborates with Learning Program Managers and business partners to determine business/learning needs and measures Works with EPIC subject matter experts to develop learning content and experiences, following an iterative development lifecycle Rapidly designs and develops engaging and impactful content and activities using holistic LXD principles to meet internal performance needs Creates content in multiple modalities (eLearning, software simulations, OJT, classroom, etc.). Contributes to the development of and effectively applies VEA Training design processes, templates, and tools. Stays current on training trends and recommends innovative solutions for training methods and media Works within Agile practices to ensure projects are completed on time and according to design, development, and quality standards Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Education, or related field 5+ years as an Instructional Designer or equivalent experience designing and developing blended learning solutions (preferably in a SaaS environment) Experience developing multiple instructional modalities including instructor-led (synchronous and asynchronous), eLearning, & structured experiences. Samples required. Proven ability to develop training that incorporates adult learning theories, visual learning design, and interactive training techniques Strong proficiency with Articulate 360 and industry standard eLearning development software. Strong analytical skills - differentiates 'need-to-know' and 'nice-to-know' content * Strong oral/written communication and editing skills, ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas for the appropriate audiences Must be flexible and be able to work both in teams and individually, influence change, manage multiple commitments, demonstrate high attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines Must be comfortable working as a hybrid employee (onsite / remote) and have the discipline to stay both motivated and engaged remotely Experience developing instructional graphics, basic animation, video, etc. (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, After Effects, or similar) Working in an Agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environments Familiarity with Generative AI tools and their application in learning and development.
