Elgin VW is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager/ Sales Manager. This is a newer facility with lots of Randall Rd traffic, just North of I90. We're a small dealership that has been growing over the past few years. 

Must be proven in all aspects of wholesale and retail operations, including a strong working background with Vauto. Working with individual sales consultants in setting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives and providing them with the support to meet these goals is a must. Maintains teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment throughout the sales, delivery, and follow-up process to ensure a great level of customer satisfaction.

The Used Car Manager ensures customer retention and the profitability of the used car department. The used car manager is responsible for appraising, purchasing, reconditioning, displaying, and merchandising the used vehicle inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Forecasts goals and objectives for sales, gross, and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis. Hires, motivates and monitors the performance of all used-vehicle salespeople.
• You will be responsible for assisting individual salespeople in setting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives and providing them with the support to meet these goals.
• Ensures proper follow-up of all potential buyers and monitors a prospecting and sales control system.
• Maintains vehicle inventory. Monitors customers' likes and dislikes, lost sales, and dealership sales history and conducts local market analyses to determine which vehicles to stock.
• Communicates daily with the New-vehicle Sales Managers and General Manager regarding units needed for used-vehicle inventory.
• Ensures that all mechanical reconditioning is performed within the dealership's cost and time limitations.
• Must be proficient in VAuto, establishes and controls wholesaling activities, including maintaining a 45 day turn of all retail units.
