Hobson Prior is recruiting for a Creative Director to lead the creative vision and execution for the agency's life sciences clients, managing a small, high-performing team to deliver innovative, compliant creative concepts and tools. This role combines hands-on design and concept development with leadership, mentorship, and strategic oversight.

This position also will define and maintain the agency's creative standards, collaborate with cross-functional partners and clients, and play a key role in shaping the agency's overall creative strategy, visual identity, and voice. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and values both creative excellence and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and mentor the creative team across digital, print, and other deliverables for life sciences clients
• Work alongside agency leadership to define and execute long-term creative vision and identity
• Ensure high-quality output that meets client objectives and compliance requirements
• Participate in brainstorming sessions, provide feedback, and refine creative concepts
• Serve as creative lead for client accounts, aligning work with brand, business, and regulatory requirements
• Champion creative excellence across the agency while balancing originality and compliance
• Collaborate with operations, project, and account teams on resourcing, timelines, and budgets
• Support business development through pitch materials and client presentations
• Contribute to team growth by hiring, mentoring, and shaping service offerings

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Experience in market access, specialty pharma, oncology, or rare disease strongly preferred
• History working with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, PowerPoint, and other design tools
• Demonstrated ability to mentor creative talent and foster professional growth
• Strong client relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience contributing to new business development and agency growth
• Be able to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing compliance
• Solid understanding of brand strategy and its role in creative work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous working years in creative roles, including years in senior or leadership positions
• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand development, and multi-channel execution
• Experience building or leading teams in a startup or small agency environment
• Experience managing freelancers or vendors
