Job Description

MAU is hiring an HVAC Controls Engineerfor our client in Douglasville, GA. As an HVAC Controls Engineer, you will create, download, and commission control programs for custom HVAC units to meet project-specific sequence of operations and performance standards. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information

• Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Education and Experience

• Technical College diploma in Air Conditioning Technology

Preferred Education and Experience

• BSEE(T) or BSME(T) degree
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (e.g., Automated Logic, CPC)
• Familiarity with fan systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, humidifiers, furnaces, and compressors

General Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Essential Functions

• Create controls programs based on sequence of operations, wiring diagrams, unit configuration, and project requirements
• Utilize control program simulators and test panels to verify developed programs
• Download programs and perform sensor and end-device checkout
• Test unit operation under program control to ensure the sequence of operations is achieved
• Provide phone support for service and warranty calls using remote software tools
• Occasionally travel to jobsites across the USA to provide service or assist in unit startup
