Job Description

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Industrial HVAC Engineer in the Food & Beverage Group.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plant HVAC systems
• Define system sanitary requirements for food production spaces
• Determine equipment technology and strategies for moisture control and energy reduction
• Produce food process area heat load calculations for production, downtime, and cleanup modes
• Create psychrometric calculations and charts for food process area conditions
• Develop instrument points list and sequence of operation
• Developing project documentation including drawings, air flow diagrams, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.;
• Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Frequent (30-40%) travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least four years of relevant industrial HVAC engineering experience

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• On-site experience integrating equipment into existing systems
• Specification of sanitary air handling equipment
• Experience developing Air Flow Diagrams for food and/or industrial projects
• Proficiency in MS Office software
• Experience mentoring less experienced staff
• Food plant experience
• PE
• Experience running load calculations
• Comfortable with leading project specific client contact

Pay range: $95,000 - $115,000 - (Commensurate with experience)
