JOB TITLE: Staff Accountant
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Salary-Exempt
LOCATION: Denver, CO
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Controller
PAY RANTE: $70,000-$80,000 Annually
Role overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in the full cycle accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. This role involves working closely with various departments to manage and maintain financial records, prepare reports, and support the overall financial health of the company.
What the team needs from you:
• Perform full cycle accounting duties, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and assist accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are accurately captured and reported.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
What you will bring to the team:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2 or more years accounting experience (property management, retail or general real estate experience is a plus)
• Proficient with QuickBooks, Appfolio, and MS Office products.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
