Responsibilities: + Prepare and review journal entries + Oversee and audit payroll for 14 employees, including timesheet accuracy + Manage AP/AR entries, remittance slips, and deposits + Recalculate allocations and assist with cost accounting across different grants + Support monthly close and ensure accurate coding to cost centers + Handle 10-15 invoices weekly and assist with reconciliations + Maintain and improve accounting processes while following established procedures + Work with a single bank account and one consolidated credit card bill (used by multiple managers) + Use Excel to support financial tracking and allocation reviews Requirements - Proven experience in similar role and financial operations within a detail-oriented environment. - Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. - Familiarity with financial software such as Financial Edge. - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use formulas. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. - Previous experience with payroll processing and month-end close procedures. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
