Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Preparer located in South Yarmouth, MA. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing tax planning services. They will be involved in preparing financial statements and will collaborate with clients to understand their financial position and provide strategic tax advice. Additionally, the role will include staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and providing clients with expert guidance tailored to their needs.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare timely and accurate S Corp, partnership, and personal tax returns
• Review work completed by team members and support the Director as needed
• Serve as a resource and mentor for junior tax accountants
• Communicate directly with clients and provide expert tax guidance
• Assist with hiring, training, and performance reviews
• Handle additional projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Tax Preparation and Tax planning skills
• Knowledge of Tax Law and compliance
• 3+ years of experience in business and personal tax preparation
• Ability to manage complex tax engagements independently
• Proficiency with Lacerte, ProSeries, and FX tax software
• Experience with preparing Financial Statements
• Strong knowledge of Finance
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or EA certification (or in progress)
• Experience with additional tax software
• Advanced degree in Taxation
• Leadership or mentoring experience

Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
